Job Summary:
As a global leader in server technologies, Supermicro has been growing extremely fast in many key markets such as Cloud Computing, HPC, AI/ML and Scale- out storage, etc. To meet the market demand, Supermicro is developing end to end data center solutions with compute, storage, networking all integrated into full rack or multi-rack level data center infrastructures.
Supermicro is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our EIA-310D/OCP rack frame and PDU products. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, test and validate EIA-310D/OCP rack frame and PDU products. This role will also configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and validate Rack SKUs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Work with Product Manager on cross-functional engineering teams during development and validation stage
• Work with Product Manager on production line and engineering team to resolve issues in daily production -- identify root cause and improve quality
• In-depth knowledge in server products its architecture
• Work with product manager to enable new products
• Work with Product Manager on validation tests and twisting test parameters for product features and enhance product quality
• Partner with Product Manager on Product life cycle management from kick-off to EOL
Qualifications:
• BS/MS in ME, or Engineering equivalent, with minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience in mechanical design or validation field is desirable.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks, Cero, AutoCAD, etc.
• Solid experiences in EIA-310D or OCP rack frames, PDU, server and mechanical system architecture and thermal is a must
• Analytical and problem solving skills, able to work in a self-directed environment
• Communication skill in both verbal and written, able to communicate effectively in a team environment
Salary Range
$82,000 - $133,000
The offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
