Job Description
As this is a hybrid role, working out of our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidates who reside in Northeast Ohio.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Product Analyst provides support to assigned manager and occasion team. Main responsibility is the merchandising of assigned occasion across multiple product categories for multiple retailers to maximize the productivity of retail sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist manager in all aspects of the occasion planning process and execution.
• Assist manager to help achieve key performance indicators or metrics (KPIs).
• Develop and execute POG/merchandising strategies. Establish merchandising concepts and standards for assigned occasions. Determine optimal mix and presentation of product for maximum productivity.
• Actual physical experimentation, setup, and review of merchandising techniques. Position will require hands-on product and fixture setup.
• POS and competitive analysis required to determine optional assortment and merchandising for each occasion.
• Serves as contact with cross-functional business partners to execute merchandising plans.
• Responsible for managing assortment and merchandising information in appropriate systems/tools.
• Assist with the execution of retailer specific tasks.
• Learn and understand current processes, as well as, innovating and recommending improvements.
• Assist with research, development, and execution of merchandising and simplification concepts.
• Attend meetings & represent manager as necessary. Other duties as assigned to support the occasion team.
• Addresses occasion related inquiries and questions from internal partners in accurate and timely manner.
• Ensures all key schedule dates and tasks are executed on time and flawlessly.
Experience Required:
Required Length & Type of Experience:
• 1+ years prior retail and/or consumer product experience or equivalent internship work.
• Previous experience working in a professional corporate environment preferred.
• Previous product merchandising experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• High ability to collaborate and work in a team environment and independently produce results for both long-term projects and short-term requests.
• Detail oriented and highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and commitment.
• Strong analytical and quantitative decision-making skills with tolerance for change.
• Ability to clearly communicate in a business manner with all internal departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment coordinating multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong PC skills to include excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
