Job Description:- Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing.
- Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share.
- Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans.
- Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
- Establishes pricing strategies and develops marketing tools for successful product introductions.
- Communicates customer feedback to all relevant teams to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
- Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the product
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare discipline, economics, business management, or related field is typically required. Advanced degrees, such as a master’s is nice to have.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in government relations, public affairs, lobbying, or related roles, with a focus in workers’ compensation or PIP auto industry.
- 2+ years of experience working in product management, PPO/HMO strategy and operations, network management is highly valued.
- Understanding of the workers’ compensation system, including laws, regulations, administrative processes, and industry dynamics at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Familiarity with key stakeholders, such as insurance carriers, employers, injured workers, medical providers, and regulatory agencies, is essential.
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation policy issues, environment trends, and PPO network trends, including emerging topics such as medical treatment guidelines, utilization review, fee schedules, network adequacy and legislative reforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Experience preparing and presenting product market assessments, such as network strategy, product strategy, product position papers, and talking points, is crucial.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
