Phoenix LiDAR Systems is hiring a Product Manager to lead our lineup of lidar solutions. The Product Manager will be responsible for product vision, planning, marketing, and business success. The ideal candidate must have proven management skills, including the ability to drive analytical rigor in decision-making, strong business acumen, and a solid ability to work cross-functionally. The candidate must be able to articulate value propositions – internally and externally – and possess demonstrable expertise in driving strategic goals in concert with tactical execution. The candidate will have a background in geomatics with preference given to candidates with experience in lidar survey operations or lidar development.
Core Job Functions:
- Customer and market research, product roadmap, product requirements definition, product positioning and price strategy, competitive analysis, go-to-market support and customer care.
- Research and analyze market conditions, key competitors and consumer trends
- Use market feedback to drive product requirements via customer use cases
- Translate customer use cases into detailed product requirements / specifications
- Formulate business cases and roadmaps required for cross-functional planning
- Develop core product positioning and messaging
- Develop pricing / packaging strategies required for revenue / profit attainment
- Develop and execute successful go to market plans including launch planning and necessary sales tools / collateral
- Successfully interact with cross functional teams including engineering, sales and marketing to deliver compelling solutions that grow company revenue
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent in Geomatics Engineering, Geodesy (or similar domains)
- 4+ years of product management experience, preferably with hardware
- Have successfully launched at least one new product from start to finish
- An entrepreneurial work style, self-starter with a get-things-done attitude
- Strong technical knowledge, able to work well with engineers and programmers
- Prior experience at a startup or consumer internet company

Requirements Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in geospatial technology, LiDAR, drones, surveying, or a related field Existing relationships within the land surveying or drone/aircraft industries are highly preferred Strong knowledge of the sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, including building relationships with decision-makers Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives Experience in working across international markets and adapting to cultural nuances Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus depending on the region Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while meeting targets Willingness to travel (~30%) within the assigned region
