Responsibilities:Product Management is at the heart of Planview, responsible for guiding the success of its products and leading the cross-functional teams that are responsible for improving them. At Planview, our Product Managers:
- Develop solutions that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible
- Exhibit sound business sense to drive product goals and strategies
- Intently seek information about our customers, users and enterprise solution needs
- Lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives from our strategic plan
- Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, including development, customers, prospect-facing interactions during sales cycles, and key industry analysts
Responsibilities
Planview Portfolios is a market leading portfolio planning and resource management solution that plays an essential role in Planview’s portfolio of products. As a Senior Product Manager of Planview Portfolios we need you to:
- Develop product strategies and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to drive product and solution decisions
- Identify customer needs and market opportunities through a combination of user research, collecting feedback from cross-functional teammates, diving into data, and competitive analysis.
- Define and drive a product roadmap that balances innovation, competitive differentiation, and customer retention.
- Lead cross-functional teams across product, development, sales, services, etc. in pursuit of improving business outcomes.
- Possess an advanced understanding of product management and serve as a champion for best practices within the product management organization, including providing guidance and mentoring to other team members.
- Execute at a fast pace with a focus on user experience, impact, and learning
- Must be in our Austin office 1-2 days per week
- Proven experience as a product manager working to bring solutions to customers across a large, diverse customer base, ideally in Enterprise software
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Keen ability to clearly and effectively explain functional capabilities and conceptsin terms of business value
- Proven ability to learn a new market and domain informing a multi-year strategic roadmap
- Experience working with Agile oriented development teams, methodologies and tools
- Looking to take the next step in your product management career with an interest in leadership
You might succeed within this role if you have:
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions with imperfect information while understanding the trade-offs of those decisions
- Experience with PMOs, product development/innovation, engineering and manufacturing, and/or scaling Agile implementations within an organization
- Experience with project portfolio management, scaled Agile, and/or financial management
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong presentation skills
- An ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced work environment
- Excellent teamwork skills
- The ability to identify and summarize patterns and trends in user behavior or data analysis
