Responsibilities
As Sr. Manager for a set of products within a Portfolio, this position is responsible for the product life cycle from value identification to creation and delivery. This includes everything from product strategy to product development to product marketing to customer adoption including tactical activities to support the product. The manager is responsible for identifying the value of the product by conducting market research including determining customer needs and creating value by establishing and maintaining a Multi-Year Product Roadmap (including a Marketing Strategy). This includes the level of investment that will deliver the customer value by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product enhancements or changes. The manager should also be able to deliver value by defining the product adoption targets and liaise with Product Marketing and Sales to ensure product adoption goals are met.
Understand the market challenges and needs and be able to validate that the product is meeting those needs; Liaise with those in the field to assess the response to and suitability of the product and product enhancements; Understand the state of the technology platform in which the products are built and any inherent value or risks as a result;
Develop recommendations on build, buy or partner and partner relationships; Evaluate and make recommendations on the regulatory compliance and legal exposure ramifications for their product.
Communication
Prepare clear and concise communications including but not limited to Positioning Statements (target, features/offering concept and benefits/value proposition), Customer Value Propositions, Marketing and Sales Strategies, Product Strategies, White Papers.
Manage the investment (resources, dollars, features) of the development and testing to ensure that product developments match market and customer demands, and are in line with the Product Roadmap including the marketing plan;Proactively evaluate and recommend internal process improvements around the entire product development lifecycle to identify, create and deliver value; Be able to manage multiple cross-functional work teams; Collaborate with other business units to optimize ATPCO resources; Manage product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Clearly convey analyses, solutions and recommendations appropriate for specific audiences; Communicate with external customers to develop and track key industry trends; Deep understanding of their products and how they relate to other products within and outside their portfolio required; Provide product solutions for the industry with appropriate analysis; Oversee product messaging of all content including but not limited to:

· Industry Events
· Bulletins
· Consultative Selling Support
· Slide decks/presentations
· Company Newsletter
· Webinars
· Videos and soundbites
· Press Releases
· Internal Communication Project Management
Collaboration
Collaborate with peers and executives to provide effective comprehensive solutions; Negotiate internally and externally; Consistently communicate with staff, laterally to peers, and up to management; Lead cross-functional teams; Facilitate effective meetings and presentations.
Leadership and Staff Development
Make sound decisions; Use ATPCO management tools effectively; Utilize management tools to support and develop staff; Employ emotional intelligence core abilities including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management; Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies; Must be capable of motivating and mentoring staff.
Education/Skills
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business or Marketing
Work Experience
Minimum qualifications include 7+ years’ experience in Airline Revenue Accounting, Pricing, Inventory Management or Revenue Management and/or ATPCO products.
