We are seeking a Product Manager.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, technical service, and customer support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall goals, both strategic and financial. This position has ownership of the Ice product line, including Hopper Spreaders, Liquid (Brine Sprayers), and Tailgates.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
- Manage the launch & maintenance of new products & current product offering
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term product roadmaps and strategy
- Ensure product offerings maintain a leading edge in the industry
- Ensure product offerings have competitive advantages and serve marketplace need
- Develop long-range competitive product strategies
- Drive product development by defining feature requirements based on market needs and product and corporate strategies
- Chair and lead brand product planning efforts
- Manage the collection and analysis of “voice-of” various DD customers (Distributor, Customer), and the integration of that voice into new product and current product offerings
- Train and develop product support among internal and external sales force
- Lead responsibility in the accumulation of data for sales forecasts pertaining to whole goods and P&A
- Develop and maintain accurate sales program for Preseason and Inseason releases
- Develop and maintain accurate and strategically supported pricing structures for new and existing whole goods, service parts, and accessories
- Assist in the development and training of product marketing personnel, as well as inter-company departments, regarding voice-of-customer, 3P, and additional product development tools
- Coordinate the accumulation of, at a DD level, any distributor and/or customer satisfaction data & indices, and the presentation of information to upper management
WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
Education: BA in Engineering, Marketing, or Business Administration; Master’s Degree Preferred. 2-5 years traditional multi-functhional marketing, brand segment marketing management experience.
Communication Skills: Extraordinary presentation, writing, reporting, and communication skills. Team-oriented, able to work within a fast-paced matrix organization. Diversity skills to communicate with numerous outside agencies, publications, and associations. Demonstrated project management expertise within a cross-functional team. Self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of structural, electrical, and hydraulic language and terminology to work closely with engineering and effectively communicate product features, advantages, and benefits to sales organization, advertising, and prospective customers.
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Windows-based programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as statistical analysis packages. Internet skills and understanding are required.
Work Environment: Office, but inclement weather conditions and late nights could exist during photo shoots, VOC events, and shows. This position works closely with the Sales, Inside Sales, Technical Service, Finance, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments. 20%-30% domestic travel anticipated.
