Digital Product Portfolio Manager
Location: on-site/ hybrid in Richmond, Virginia, must live or relocate to VA. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Compensation: $100-130k
The role:
Responsible for the strategic oversight and development of standard product variants and identification numbers within key business segments (pumps, valves, spares). The goal is to ensure optimal product availability, market alignment, and profitable growth across North America. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams—such as sales, product management, factories, supply chain, and IT—to ensure the successful development and release of the region’s standard product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development & Execution: Create and implement strategies for standard products that align with market needs, customer requirements, and business goals in North America. Oversee product availability and manage processes with regional stakeholders and headquarters.
- Collaboration for Growth: Work with key business stakeholders, sales partners, and related teams on sustainable growth strategies. This includes factory supply management, product localization, complementary offerings, and third-party options. Collaborate with selection tool teams to integrate necessary product variants and identification numbers, ensuring alignment with customer demands and factory capabilities.
- Pricing & Profitability: Streamline and optimize pricing strategies for standard products to enhance competitiveness and profitability. Coordinate pricing activities with regional sales, finance, central market segments, and factories, maintaining alignment and communication based on market dynamics.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, supply chain, and factories to ensure a consistent supply of standard products through digital platforms and effective local inventory management. Foster strong relationships with central product management for seamless operations.
- Market Research & Optimization: Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) research to uncover market trends and opportunities. Analyze product performance through sales data, inventory levels, and customer feedback to identify areas for growth, risk, and improvement. Communicate updates and provide training to ensure smooth implementation of product optimizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, strategic marketing, business administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in digital product management, data management, and visualization. Specialized courses or certifications in marketing or product management are a plus.
- Strong understanding of strategic development and planning processes to align standard products with market needs and business objectives. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in product lifecycle management, including variants, inventory management, and technical product data. Knowledgeable in demand planning, JIT, Kanban, forecasting, and assessing product portfolio performance through KPIs.
- Expertise in digital platforms and product data management. Ability to meet customer needs and market expectations to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
- A proactive, self-motivated individual with strong cross-functional collaboration skills, a focus on project completion, and an ability to foster relationships within diverse teams.
