Position Summary
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for providing business line support for planning marketing programs, channel support and direct sales support for portfolio of metering products. Reporting to the Manager of Product - Metrology, the individual in this role works closely with the Product Managers, Sales and Customer Support to ensure that the marketing collateral accurately reflects the benefits and features from the user perspective and buyer persona. He or she works together with the Manager of Product Marketing and other Product Marketing Managers to implement product marketing plans that combine an in-depth understanding of the market, the competition and the consumer for the portfolio of Neptune products.
Objectives
Sales Enablement - Provides product positioning training and materials for the channel, and for customer service. Collaborates cross functionally with Sales team and Customer Experience team on market development, selling and field solutions. Delivers product presentations to customers and channel partners. Serves as subject matter expert for proposals.
Product Marketing – analyzes market trends and defines product positioning, articulates customer value propositions and key differentiators. Implements marketing plans for the products. Develops standardized sales tools, proposals, demo scripts, etc. Implements product launches and target marketing campaigns. Creates marketing collateral including case studies, data sheets, white papers & FAQ’s.
Product Requirements – identifies new feature opportunities through Voice of Customer activities. Works with the Product Manger to identify, define and prioritize customer requirements and User Stories. Works with the product line Marketing Manager to facilitate product roadmap definition.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Science. MBA is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience. Industry experience is a plus.
Skills: Knowledge of sales, marketing and product development processes. Leadership, sales support, project management and training skills. Analytical mind and strong quantitative and problem solving skills. Positive attitude and high energy, creativity and strong learning ability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to work with minimum supervision. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other business software.
Location: Duluth, GA
25% - 30% Travel Required.
