About the Opportunity
The Cloud Solutions & Services (CSS) division is seeking a Product Owner who is passionate about enabling customers to learn about emerging technologies and platforms. The Federal Reserve System's Innovation Launchpad is the destination for users with any level of skill to learn and explore potential capabilities with emerging technologies, ranging from cloud platforms, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML) to Quantum Computing in an environment that is simple, scalable, and secure. This specific role will help drive increased adoption of the Innovation Launchpad and help bring new capabilities and offerings to this service as business and customer needs arise. A strong understanding of Cloud Technologies, Cloud Service Providers, Generative AI, and UX are critical skills to this position. This position is an individual contributor role working with a Product Manager and the larger Innovation Launchpad team.
The Product Owner is a member of the team responsible for defining and prioritizing a team’s backlog while ensuring translation of the Product Manager’s vision and outcomes into stories. The Product Owner has a significant role in quality and directs members of the team in completing the worked defined in the sprint. Works closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to understand, analyze, refine, prioritize, and communicate needs to ensure full understanding of product scope, objectives, and requirements. Develops and adapts the product vision and is empowered to “accept” completed stories.
What You Will Do:
The candidate in this role will work with a matrixed team of executive leadership, product management, engineers, and analysts to ensure that new and existing technologies are available in the Innovation Launchpad for Federal Reserve users to experiment and consume in the most convenient ways possible. In addition, close alignment and partnership with our Hosting Enablement Agile Release Train, Innovation Office and customers is required to facilitate the alignment of requirements externally with work we are doing internally to mature and scale the Innovation Launchpad.
- Articulates the vision to delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work based on business value.
- Coordinates implementation of products and service solutions and enhancements
- Prioritizes product backlog based on overall strategy and business objectives and works with the Scrum Master to drive sprint and release plans.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders by assessing, evaluating, and fully understanding the business and product needs and requirements.
- Work with vendors to ensure platform availability and discuss new offerings/capabilities.
- Primary liaison between stakeholders and teams to ensure full understanding of product scope, objectives, requirements, and dependencies.
- Key participant in retrospectives to continually improve team processes.
- Advocate for, and act as an evangelist for experimentation and learning using the Innovation Launchpad across the FRB system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Product Management or relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to work with leadership, product teams, and customers.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent, demonstrated product management skills; outcome and goal oriented.
- Ability to keep up to date with trends in emerging product, services, and technology.
- The ability to travel once a quarter for critical, in-person meetings.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced expertise in development and use of product roadmaps and helping to implement product strategy.
- Knowledge of and ability to lead within an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Ability to effectively align day-to-day activities and processes of the team with high priority objectives and ongoing commitments.
- Certification in Agile/SAFe frameworks preferred.

- The hiring range is $101,300 – $139,260 annually.
- For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
