Project Overview:
- The Client Consumer Health Research team works on developing algorithms that make products and services smart, whether that be through sensing, machine perception, control systems, pattern recognition, or preference learning.
- These approaches depend on constructing high-quality datasets for training and evaluation as we iterate on software or hardware design.
- The team is looking for a person who will oversee the technical implementation, process, and logistics for data collection efforts across the organization.
- Perform data collection tasks for algorithm and sensor development across products
- Help develop new test setups and tools to meet the data collection needs of a variety of teams
- Develop and configure/edit scripts to run for data collection
- Develop and coordinate new in-lab and in-home data collection and testing programs
- Continually improve development process to gain efficiency, remove obstacles, and simplify problems
- Execute and monitor data collection tests with various devices and sensors
- Plan and oversee collection of high-quality datasets
- Work with researchers, program managers, and engineers to define, plan, build, and debug tests
Required Skills:
- BS in Engineering or related field
- Experience working with hardware
- Experience with Python or other coding languages
- Ability to collect data on the behavior of users and devices in a variety of environments, use cases, and situations
- Ability to perform Blackbox manual testing, executing, and documenting experiments for early-stage product life-cycle development, proof-of-concept, and benchmarking
- Detail-oriented and ability to complete tasks/projects with set deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Experience with data querying, visualization, and analysis tools
- Ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Clinical or technology research experience
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions
- Demonstrated experience with data collection in both lab environments and in homes
