Under general supervision, support the value stream lean manufacturing processes of the glass shop and welding cell. The individual will be responsible for forming, cutting, and preparing glass tubes. This individual will also perform welding of basic tube assemblies using the orbital welder.
+ Receive work orders from Supervisor or team members and ensure all appropriate parts are picked and appropriate forms are completed.
+ Performs all manufacturing activities for the Glass Shop and Welding Cell.
+ Responsible for operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances, requiring the use of a variety of tools or instruments.
+ Follows established procedures, drawings, specifications and/or general verbal directions.
+ Use simple arithmetic, addition and subtraction of decimals and fractions, variety of measuring instruments and keeping of records.
+ Adhere to all safety regulations.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions and read drawings, blueprint specifications, or equivalent
+ Requires writing and math skills normally acquired through high school education
+ Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles preferred
+ Ability to interact and participate in a team driven environment
+ Welding certificate or 1-year experience preferred.
