Johnson Service Group is looking for a THT Lead for Assembly production line.The Production Lead reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager or Supervisor and is responsible for overseeing, scheduling, and coordinating workflow in the manufacturing area to ensure quality and timely delivery. This role may involve various tasks based on the individual's training, experience, and skillset.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with production teams to maintain schedules based on capacity and clear-to-build dates.
- Coordinate with production control to establish and adjust schedules as needed to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Balance workloads across work centers in the manufacturing plant, adjusting as necessary for customer commitments and production needs.
- Analyze information to make informed decisions, solve problems, and implement solutions.
- Identify training needs in collaboration with the Manufacturing Manager.
- Assign tasks and provide clear work instructions to the production team.
- Ensure delivery commitments are met and executed efficiently.
- Partner with Industrial Engineers to identify and implement lean manufacturing projects.
- Lead 5S initiatives to improve work efficiency and organization on the production line.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards, leading daily team meetings to address any issues.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for manufacturing-related issues.
- Coordinate with other departments (engineering, document control, materials, quality) to address and resolve production challenges.
- Ensure the team follows traceability requirements for assemblies.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
- 6+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, ideally in a high-mix environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply common sense solutions.
- Capable of interpreting various instructions (written, oral, diagrams, schedules).
- Experience in managing teams and overseeing customer commitments.
- Proficiency in supporting Quality Management Systems (ISO), Lean Manufacturing, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Experience with root cause analysis, problem-solving, decision-making, and project management.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, including maintaining quality records and executing related activities.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel), with intermediate to advanced skills.
- Understanding of calibration processes and schedules.
