Position Overview: As a Production Control Planner at Dayton-Granger, a leading aerospace and aviation component manufacturer, you will be at the heart of our production operations. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring that everything runs smoothly and on schedule. Your responsibilities will include planning, scheduling, and analyzing production activities to drive efficiency, productivity, and on-time delivery. Working closely with both our manufacturing and procurement teams, you'll address scheduling challenges, maintain seamless workflows, and implement process improvements that keep us ahead of the curve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan and schedule production workflows across manufacturing to ensure timely delivery and target achievement.
- Analyze and prepare work order packages based on the master production schedule, releasing them for production while considering inventory requirements.
- Provide real-time status updates on work progress, material availability, and constraints affecting schedules.
- Collaborate daily with shop floor supervisors, quality control, and procurement teams to resolve production issues and optimize efficiency.
- Generate accurate production reports and proactively adjust schedules to align with changing demands.
- Adhere to all safety protocols as per company policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in production control planning.
- Experience planning in a manufacturing environment, preferably with assemblies and subassemblies.
- Proficiency with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) and ERP systems; familiarity with Oracle or similar systems is a plus.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a technical aptitude and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
