Production Coordinator - 2nd Shift
Overview Communication-
- Utilization of our Email System, timely communicating and responding to emails, documenting issues and concerns and communicating across our team to keep all parties involved aware and informed.
- Maintain an active working knowledge of our products and components in order to rapidly identify errors or potential issues timely, reducing the threat of Food Safety Issues.
- Develop an expertise level familiarity with our Food Safety Programs including our CCP’s, CP’s, GMP’s, and SSOP’s .
- Be able to supervise and execute an allergen or non-allergen wash down / changeover of the production line(s) through knowledge and understanding of the reasons for and the methods of proper changeover conditions.
- Vigilant monitoring of labor workforce to prevent cross contamination, and or any other Food Safety compromises.
- Drive production efficiencies by training, motivating, and effectively utilizing our labor force.
- Maintain detailed daily production reports, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and detailed communication of issues and obstacles.
- Including machinery issues, personnel/labor issues, component issues, supply issues, etc. Accountable for production shortcomings (missed goals), and responsible to identify and effectively and quickly identify problems or issues and address/ correct those issues immediately, and communicating to and involving other departments as required.
- Planning and preparing for next production runs, ensuring you have all the accurate information/documentation in place and ready for your team to execute.
- Account for component and packaging materials released to the production room(s) for assembly on a daily basis, track and report unused (returned) materials accurately.
- As a Production Coordinator, Second Shift, your Primary Function is the overall accountability and ownership of the production line(s) being overseen to provide safe quality food products to our customers / consumers.
- The coordination of labor, quality, warehouse, and other team members to achieve or exceed production goals by anticipating and predicting potential issues or problems and solving and or preventing them before they occur.
- Accurate accounting of finished products, components, and materials used or produced under your supervision.
- Maintain and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Prioritize Food Safety through Allergen Awareness, GMP’s, Production Room Cleanliness, etc. Maximize production uptime. Reduce costs and product / component wastage throughout our processes.
- Lead the labor team(s) demonstrating and demanding high standards for quality, safety, and production.
