Wood Personnel is in partnership with a large food manufacturing facility located in Gallatin, TN who is currently hiring for a Production Coordinator and Production Group Leader. Production Coordinator Compensation and Hours:
- $19 - $20 an hour
- Overtime Eligible
- 2nd & 3rd Shift Available
Production Coordinator Skills and Requirements:
- Must possess basic math and computer skills, as well as, good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to listen and follow basic instructions and work routines from leaders.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
- Ability to complete reports and forms/documents timely and accurately.
- Ability to understand and follow safety rules and instructions.
- Frequently required standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
- Able to work in both a hot and cold environment.
- May be required to work various shifts.
- Work with potentially hazardous chemicals and/or equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated understanding of production scheduling and other production variables such as run-rates, processing times, change-over times, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Production Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adheres to production schedules, assisting with staff placement to ensure that production quotas are met for finished goods inventories.
- Minimizes waste and cost and ensures conformance to safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports, keep paperwork organized.
- Motivates associates, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.
- Maintains and reports production-related information regarding yields, efficiencies, and labor utilization to management.
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
- Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support business objectives.
- Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
- Assists with planning and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
