Overview
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
Under general supervision, plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the efficiency and quality of our video production process. Assists throughout the entire production cycle, from development to deliverables, by managing assets, scheduling, and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders. Is involved in every phase, attending kick-off calls, briefs, and concept meetings, while providing valuable feedback related to editorial post-production. With expertise in media management and post-production pipelines, they ensure that all media is organized and accessible. Their project management skills allow them to anticipate bottlenecks, make necessary trade-offs, and balance the needs of various stakeholders. By maintaining daily communication, provides timely project updates, flags potential issues, and troubleshoots problems to keep projects on track. This role is essential in reducing turnaround times, improving asset management, and ensuring that our video content is delivered with high quality and efficiency.
Starting Pay Rate: $23 - $28 /hr.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
▪Coordinates the video production process, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with policies, and adherence to creative and brand standards.▪Manages the intake process, from ticket submission to discovery meetings with stakeholders, ensuring a smooth transition from initial request to project kickoff.▪Creates project timelines, set deadlines, track progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of digital assets.▪Collaborates with stakeholders, serving as the point person to address bottlenecks, escalate issues, and overcome technical challenges.▪Manages expectations, communicate effectively, and take notes during meetings to ensure follow-up on action items.▪Communicates project statuses daily, flagging potential issues and troubleshooting to keep projects on track.▪Conducts quality control to ensure all digital assets meet the highest standards of design, functionality, and brand consistency.▪Incorporates feedback from stakeholders to create actionable steps or changes that will improve the video production process and the final video content.▪Provides team support through training on production processes, offering feedback, and addressing concerns.▪Manages digital assets using Digital Asset Management software, maintaining organized media files and delivering final assets for each project.▪Utilizes project management software (Asana) to manage schedules, track progress, assign tasks, and ensure smooth project execution.▪Hybrid role: Works remotely with in-person meetings as needed to facilitate collaboration and project needs.▪Provides support and coordinates with Marcom Dept Project Manager regularly.▪Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
▪Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in TV/Film, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
▪Must have minimum 3+ years’ experience in cross-functional program or project management.▪Experience in video development, production and post-production.▪Studio or agency experience a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
▪Strong understanding of video production, media management and post-production pipelines.▪Background in creative project management, excellent communication skills and attention to detail.▪Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with all levels of staff and the general public.▪Experience utilizing and managing content on a Digital Asset Management software.▪Hands on video experience.▪Experience using ZenDesk, Bynder and Asana is a plus.▪Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud apps as well as Microsoft Office applications.▪Must be comfortable in a Windows/PC-based environment.▪Ability to take and implement direction, feedback, and delivery of assets.▪Flexibility to adapt to changing timelines and deliverables.▪Ability to work under deadline pressure.▪Knowledgeable of social media and digital video platforms.▪Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.▪Ability to work independently and under close direction.▪Reliable transportation is required.▪Ability to drive throughout Southern California.▪Proactive thinker with ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
