Job Summary:
Super Micro Computer is currently looking for a Production Engineer responsible for hands on rack system integration, testing, and preparing documents to transfer first article to production line. The Rack Production Engineer will work closely with Rack PM's, Engineering, Production and Extended teams to ensure overall quality and technical design proposal meets customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Work cross-department to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
• Candidate will work closely with rack, engineer and operation teams to understand business requirements and work with them to deliver the products and services.
• Rack system integration includes mounting servers, switches, PDU, cables, and labeling.
• Rack system test includes configuration of servers, switches, whole rack system test and trouble shooting.
• Provide rack system integration SOW, and integration nodes for transferring to mass production line
• Candidate will handle inventory of rack integration parts
• On customer site rack system deployment, service. Domestic and international travel are needed
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in EE/ME/CE/Industrial Engineering or technical fields or relevant experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years' of server integration, test, validation and troubleshooting experience, or IT hands on experience preferred
• Be able to handle moving server and rack installation. Be able to stand up a period of time to finish rack installation work
• Familiar with server, storage, switch and datacenter related products and services
• Fluent in English speaking, writing, presentation
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Some travel required
Salary Range
$82,000 - $133,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
