Description: Job Description:
The role of the Production Leader involves overseeing the workforce and the production process of Acetylene
This includes managing the transfer, treatment, and packaging of product for distribution
The individual will also oversee the Water Treatment Unit operations and various manual labor tasks.
The facility operates continuously, and the primary work schedule is Monday to Friday during the day
Flexibility is required to potentially work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
-Directs manufacturing staff and oversees production activities.
-Works with the Quality Control team to optimize sample handling and tracking.
-Evaluates and ensures adherence to production standards.
-Manages inventory levels to fulfill orders promptly.
-Develops and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet quality specifications.
-Participates in resolving customer feedback and complaints.
-Guarantees timely and cost-effective product delivery.
-Liaises with Sales and Logistics regarding product status and delivery concerns.
-Upholds Quality Management System protocols and accurate record-keeping.
-Provides training and supervision to shift employees.
-Organizes work schedules and manages payroll documentation, ensuring precise recording of hours worked.
-Adheres to all safety protocols and promotes a secure working environment.
-Addresses employee concerns and disputes impartially and consistently.
Qualifications:
-A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in chemical or mechanical fields, with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing supervision and knowledge of packaging processes, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills to effectively manage and delegate tasks within tight deadlines.
-Leadership skills to guide teams, motivate staff, and foster cooperation among internal and external stakeholders.
Working Conditions
The job involves regular interaction with active machinery and exposure to the elements and industrial settings
It requires navigating the facility, including climbing stairs, ramps, and ladders, working at heights, and in confined spaces
Use of standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, footwear, hearing protection, and occasionally, respirators is mandatory.
Compensation Package/Relocation:
-With Engineering Degree: Up to $95K
-No degree: $65K-$80K
-Comprehensive health coverage, including private clinic access, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance options.
-A 401K plan with employer matching contributions.
-Client will provide relocation in lump sum signing bonus
