DescriptionÂ
The Chemical Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing the production of chemical products, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality. This role involves optimizing processes, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to enhance overall production performance.
Responsibilities
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Optimize process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
- Monitor and control production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Quality Control:
- Establish and maintain quality control standards.
- Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent future quality problems.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Develop and implement safety training programs.
- Investigate and address safety incidents.
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot production problems.
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve equipment failures.
- Project Management:
- Manage capital projects related to process improvements or new product development.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of production processes, procedures, and data.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in chemical production engineering
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and equipment
- Proficiency in data analysis and process control
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
