Production Facility Maintenance Tech - Pactiv Evergreen - North America

Job purpose

The Facilities Maintenance role is responsible for performing heavy cleaning duties associated with Fire Prevention, Building Aesthetics, and NSF preparation and sustainment.

Duties and responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities are:

• Completes Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Fire Prevention Checklist Items. (80% of the first 6 months, 50% going forward).
• Performs cleaning of facility machines (internal and external), electrical cabinets and pumps.
• Conducts floor maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintains pit to reduce stock build-up for fire prevention and efficacy.
• Organizes and audits outside building conditions (boneyard management)
• Manages and completes select painting assignments and minor repairs (touch-ups).
• Completes documentation related to the task at hand.
• Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
• Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
• Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
• Maintains excellent safety record.
• Maintains excellent attendance record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

Experience required:

• At least one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment, including successfully completing jobs or similar activities.
• Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.

Skills

An individual must have the following skills in the Facilities Maintenance position:

Physical requirements

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

• Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
• Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
• Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
• Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

Working conditions

An individual that works in the Facilities Maintenance position:

• Must have a basic knowledge of hand tools and chemicals for sanitation and cleaning purposes.
• Must have electrical and mechanical experience.
• Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be available on an on-call basis.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

You should be proficient in:

• HVAC
• Facilities Maintenance Experience
