2nd shift(1:30 pm – 10 pm)
The primary function of the Flexo Stacker is to work safely in the day-to-day operations of production plant while setting up bundler, load former and delivery end of the machine.
Primary Duties
- Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
- Read and follow instructions on factory masters
- Set-up bundler, hold down arm, load former, and delivery end of machine accurately
- Secure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs.
- Stack finished boxes in accordance with factory master
- Ensure each unit has proper top and bottom cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags
- Monitor quality of boxes and report quality problems to Operator
- Assist operator and first helper as necessary.
- Be willing to move up the line of progression to operator regardless of shift
- Ensure correct bundle and unit counts
- Report final count of piece unit to operator.
- Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Notify supervision of needed repairs
- Follow LOTO procedures for the Flexo Folder Gluer Machine
- Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs
- Regular and timely attendance required
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
- Additional duties assigned by management
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to speak, read, comprehend, and write legibly in English
- Able to lift 25-50# on a consistent basis
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
- Eligible to bid for this position under the present labor/management agreement or have current work-related experience
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry
- 6 months' experience as a Bundler
