Production Floor Lead - Associated Staffing Incorporated

Job Title: Production Floor Lead  
Location: Grand Island, NE  Schedule: 5 AM until done  Pay: $18.25/hour  
Bilingual Requirement: Must be Bilingual  

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Floor Lead to join a great team. In this role, you will assist a Hatchery Manager and Assistant Hatchery Manager in monitoring and maintaining an efficient production flow while ensuring the quality of chicks. This position requires a strong ability to communicate in both English and Spanish, as you will work closely with a diverse team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Start mixing procedures for vaccines and connect vaccine bags to PSP main lines.
• Prime pumps to remove excess air from vaccine lines.
• Check for defective needles and ensure correct baffle placement.
• Inspect each PSP prior to startup and sign off on the animal welfare form.
• Closely monitor quality control personnel to ensure high-quality chicks and proper vaccine spraying.
• Separate and inventory chicks by flock, accounting for cull chicks and estimating extras.
• Coordinate the sexing team setting the pace for processing and determining when breaks should occur.
• Verify daily processing totals from each PSP matching them to the floor count.
• Monitor liquid nitrogen levels in vaccine containers and log all readings ensuring a minimum of 7 inches is maintained.
• Maintain cleanliness in the chick processing room and organize the laboratory.
• Produce bi-monthly inventory reports of vaccines for the front office.
• Inventory and ensure proper supply levels of vaccine-related materials (tubing, needles, dyes, drip chambers).
• Perform other duties as assigned, including covering for team members during vacations or absences.

Qualifications:

• Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor production processes.
• Experience in a hatchery or production environment is preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
