About the Job
Harvard Resource Solutions is seeking a Production Group Leader for our manufacturing client in Dundee, MI on a direct hire basis.
In office
Shift: 7pm - 7:30am and a 3-2-2-3 work schedule
Duties
Perform thorough risk assessments on all tasks and jobs to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
Enforce safety policies and procedures with direct reports, ensuring compliance at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to minimize accidents and injuries.
Support the training of team members, both new and experienced, to help them reach their full potential and strengthen the company's structure.
Foster associate engagement and interaction to enhance team retention.
Ensure that job duties are performed in accordance with written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and parts to ensure they are sufficient for the shift's operations.
Respond promptly to process and quality issues, taking necessary actions to resolve them and improve overall efficiency.
Lead the unit tech for the shift by assigning duties and following up on maintenance activities, both preventive and reactive.
Conduct beginning shift meetings to communicate information from the outgoing shift, review safety topics, recognize performance, and engage the team.
Generate reports on production performance, key operating parameters, and other aspects related to safety, quality, and maintenance.
Issue associate communications to address performance issues as needed, ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly.

Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Associates/Bachelor's Degree preferred
Previous experience as a peer leader
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
Experience providing on-the-job training & task guidance to others
Ability to work night shift: 7 pm to 7:30 am & a 3-2-2-3 work schedule
Experience using computer programs, such as SAP
Excellent problem-solving & decision-making skills
Drive to continuously improve
Ability to lift & move up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Associates/Bachelor's Degree preferred
