At EMPWR USA, Inc we are not sitting still. In McMinnville, we currently have three production lines for nutrition bars and currently undergoing construction to add more production space!
A Day in the life:
Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
FOOD SAFETY – Lot Traceability, Product Inspection
Ability to step in to any line position to cover unforeseen circumstances.
Interviews, hires and trains new staff in the department.
Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Must follow all safety requirements of the position
Required to wear PPEs such as slip resistant shoes and GMPs such as hair nets, beard nets, lab coats and gloves
Ability to complete assigned paperwork such as recording lot numbers and product variances
Will frequently perform sanitation on line equipment, parts and surrounding environment
May require cross-training on various line positions and job rotation
Follow and improve area processes
Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that pertain to your area
Other tasks as assigned
Schedules
Shift 1: Sunday - every other Wednesday 5am to 5pm
Shift 2: Sunday - every other Wednesday 5pm to 5am
Shift 3: Every other Wednesday - Saturday 5am to 5pm
Shift 4: Every other Wednesday - Saturday 5pm to 5am
Skills
FOOD SAFETY – Notify Management of any Food Safety Issues.
FOOD SAFETY – Aware of empowerment to act to resolve Food Safety Issues within the scope of work.
FOOD SAFETY – Conform to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.
Must possess basic office skills such as using computers, telephones and general office equipment
Ability to speak, read and write English fluently as it pertains to fulfilling job requirements
Must be available to work any shift - flexibility with schedule required
Must be available to work overtime hours if needed
Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Able to work in a team environment
Ability to effectively communicate with and train fellow team member
