Production Lead 
Job Description

The Production Lead is responsible for supervising production employees in a manufacturing and assembly/packaging environment, while running a production line.  This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedure and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The Production Lead may be responsible for running multiple production lines while achieving optimal performance of their assigned tasks; helping to solve problems; meeting quality and production standards and maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.

Duties:

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals. 
• Provides line set ups that best accommodates each employee and the product being run on a particular line while maintaining production efficiencies.
• Meeting quality standards set forth by the Bill of Material (BOM) Specifications administered by Quality Control Personnel.
• Enter labor electronically, production and quality data within our software system.
• Train, coach, encourage and motivate employees and workers to efficiently perform their assigned tasks.
• Provide protective oversight of employees through encouragement, moral support and patient direction.
• Report any employee behaviors, incidents and/or accidents to Production Manager. 
• Maintain work area in a safe, clean and organized manner.
• To comply with all SQF procedures and policies and is responsible to report food safety problems.
• Follow all policies and procedures established by Company.
• Other related duties as directed by management.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.  Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills required.

Experience:
Production experience and prior experience working with people with disabilities or related experience desired.  Good communication verbal and written skills required.  Attention to detail required. Experience with Nulogy software preferred.
