Overview
The machine operator is responsible for the day-to-day duties in running equipment to produce quality product, safely and on-time. The working schedule will be 12-hour rotating shifts from 7:00pm – 7:00am with every other weekend scheduled.
Responsibilities:
- Operators are responsible for continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of product, as well as work in a safe manner at all times following all safety policies and procedures.
- Performing setups in accordance with established procedure, operating, and loading/unloading equipment.
- Work from written and verbal instructions, procedures and work orders are also required.
- Additional responsibilities include: Maintaining and logging all information required supporting traceability and quality, participating in cross-training activities, maintaining work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition, and performing other duties as required or directed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution.
- Must pass physical and color vision exam.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
- You must be able to stand up to 12 hours per day.
- You must be able to walk 8-10 hours per day for short distances.
- You must be able to push/pull up to 66 pounds multiple times per day.
- You must be able to bend 10-20 times per day.
- You must be able to squat 20 times per day.
- You must be able to climb step ladder (4-6 steps) 4-5 times per day.
- You must be able to reach 10 times per day.
- You must be able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
- You must be able to twist moving reels multiple times per day.
- You must be able to grasp, manipulate, push/pull 40-50 times per day.
- You must be able to demonstrate mechanical and computer skills.
- Opportunity to be trained and drive fork-lift possible.
- Must be able to work in a High Performing Team Environment with limited supervision.
