About the Job
- Set up and run all equipment per established standard operating procedures
- Crosstrain on all functions of the operation (Casting, Punch, and Material Handling)
- Must have strong mechanical ability to run equipment and make necessary adjustments when needed
- Responsible for daily production reports and making accurate production counts
- Perform appropriate 5s tasks as needed
- Participate in training and development programs including all areas of environmental, health and safety issues, especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste
- Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Must be able to work at fast pace
- Must have good work record, attendance, and possess good communication skills
- Must be available to work overtime as needed
- Must have experience in mechanically related field.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Must be able to complete post offer background check and drug screen
- High School diploma/GED preferred, not required
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to see, hear and speak; able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, crawl, squat, kneel and climb. Able to use both arms and hands to use a computer and peripherals and lift 40 pounds from floor level, able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms. Able to wear respirator and other PPE as required, able to climb stairs. Able to work extended shifts and every other weekend.
Work Environment
Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. The employee may occasionally be exposed to lead, fume, noise, dirt, hazards, chemicals, heat and cold. Travel as required for training, meeting with regulatory agencies, and to other company sanctioned events.
