POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Production Maintenance Mechanic your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Reads and understands technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot issues or make repairs.
- Performs work in one or more machine trades including electrical, mechanical or machining.
- Performs routine equipment maintenance and repair.
- Assist in installation of new equipment.
- Inspection of manufacturing equipment operations on a routine basis.
- Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines.
- Enters and maintains data in an computerized system
- Assists Maintenance Department with general building maintenance functions
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Production Maintenance Mechanic who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Production Maintenance Mechanic would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- High School/GED with minimum of 3-5 years related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and training
- Vocational or technical training.
- 0 to 2 years related maintenance experience.
- Organizational skills
- Working Knowledge Microsoft Excel and Word
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of cGMP procedures preferred.
- Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory guidelines.
- Knowledgeable in calibration and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Skilled and knowledgeable in maintaining computer database programs.
