Production Manager:
Shift: 1st Shift
Salary: $80,000+ based on years of experience
Work Environment : Cold and Wet Environment
Availability: Must be able to work Sundays - Occasionally Saturdays
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in managing large teams and optimizing production processes. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in manufacturing management, with expertise in production metrics, employee relations, process improvement, and hands-on coaching and development. This role will oversee a team of 75+ employees, providing leadership and fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high quality standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of 75+ employees, providing guidance and development opportunities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and improve productivity.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics (e.g., cycle time, yield, defect rate) to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance to senior leadership.
- Manage and mentor production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and growth.
- Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and development plans to team members.
- Address employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and coaching.
- Promote a safe and positive work environment, ensuring all team members are aligned with company policies and values.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, HR) to align production goals with overall business objectives.
- Implement best practices in production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management to meet business demands.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing management, preferably in a high-volume environment with direct line supervision.
- Metrics-Driven: Proven experience working with key manufacturing metrics and a results-oriented approach.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing and developing large teams (75+ employees) through coaching and development.
- Employee Relations: Strong knowledge of employee relations, including handling disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
- Leadership Skills: Hands-on experience with team development and performance management.
Education/Certification
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of KPI's and tracking
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong business acuity.
- Basic understanding of P&L
- Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Basic comprehension of process improvement methodology
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively throughout multiple levels of the organization.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
