Production Manager for USA Parkway manufacturing company - Spherion

Spherion Staffing Reno, NV is recruiting for a direct hire Production Manager for USA Parkway manufacturing facility.
$75,000-$85,000 per year.
Client is a leader in the seismic isolation of buildings and bridges.

Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and supervise daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet changing demands.
Ensure the efficient use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production efforts and resolve issues.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and operators.
Foster a positive and productive work environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Maintain high product quality standards by implementing and enforcing quality control processes.
Work with the Quality department to address non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure that all production activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take action to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure timely production.
Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Logistics department to ensure timely materials delivery.
Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to maintain quality and efficiency.
Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
Provide regular reports on budget performance and variances.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Administration or experience in a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in manufacturing.
Experience with ISO 9001 2015 preferred.
