About the Job
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules.
- Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with other departments such as supply chain, quality control, and maintenance to optimize production processes.
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production team.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet company standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Work closely with the quality control team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage production schedules, material inventories, and resource allocation to meet production targets while minimizing waste and costs.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies for production.
- Optimize equipment utilization and maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations governing paint manufacturing operations.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry standards, implementing changes as needed to maintain compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in paint manufacturing required
- Strong understanding paint formulations and the appropriate cleaning methods for a paint tank in a manufacturing environment required
- Strong knowledge of paint manufacturing processes, including mixing, blending, tinting, and packaging.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards in the paint industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
