Exciting opportunity to join our growing and well-funded team, based in Woburn MA, developing and manufacturing next-generation LED lighting products and enabling LED light engines and component technologies. In this management role, you will bring management experience and commitment as the leader of a multidisciplinary production team of technicians, engineers, and production resources. Your responsibilities will cover all aspects of the production operations, engineering, and quality control.
Description of Role:
- Management position with direct reports comprising production engineers, technicians and QC resources.
- Responsible for the day-to-day output of the production team to meet production schedule and quality targets.
- Consistently meeting KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, process throughput and resource utilization.
- Manage planning and implementation of work orders and assignments for production equipment and team.
- Implement LEAN manufacturing systems and processes for workflow.
- Manage team to adopt processes for design files, tech drawings, and documentation.
- Direct line management of quality, assembly, and manufacturing engineering (DFM) teams.
- Input to the training of technicians, manufacturing and engineering employees.
- Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- At least 5 years of relevant prior experience in a similar management position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
- Working knowledge of software such as Solidworks and/or Altium a strong plus.
- Prior experience leading a team in an electrical or electro-mechanical field a strong plus.
- Experience of implementing LEAN and Agile manufacturing methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field is preferred.
