SUMMARY - Manage and resolve material shortages and delays to enable production to achieve on-time start and finish schedules by researching and interacting cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Procurement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep Foreman and Lead informed of all component material issues.
- Assure materials for an order have been delivered in accordance with scheduled start dates.
- Run and Interpret Shortage reports.
- Verify and maintain the presence and accuracy of Shortage Sheets.
- Verify delivered materials are correctly labeled.
- Identify material shortages to the production order and research to resolve.
- Determine if material was taken from one job for another and provide this information to the warehouse so the Inventory can be corrected.
- Determine production status of material shortage Make items and facilitate with planning, production and Warehouse the expeditious delivery to production upon completion.
- Determine delivery status of material shortage Buy items and facilitate with procurement and warehouse the expeditious delivery to production upon receipt.
- Notify area Foreman and Manufacturing Engineer of possible BOM issues.
- For ECNs that affect BOMs, work with Warehouse to secure added components and to retrieve and return subtracted components.
- Coordinate with Warehouse for the return of overpulled components.
- Coordinate with QA for the documentation and proper removal of non-conforming components.
- Coordinate with Warehouse for replacement of non-conforming components.
- Coordinate with Production for rework of non-conforming components.
- Coordinate with Planning for replacement of non-conforming Make components.
- Coordinate with Procurement for replacement of non-conforming Buy components.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP systems.
- Intermediate level in MS Excel; data mining.
- Prior inventory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Read and understand Bill of Material (BOM).
- Demonstrates ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making.
- Exceptional organizational and communications skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and leadership within the company.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment where a high degree of flexibility is necessary.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma and/or associates degree
- 2-4 years Inventory Control
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Forlift qualification
- Ability to read and understand English instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Measurement and Counting
