Production Operator - Sun Chemical

Production Operator - Philadelphia, PA

Under minimal direction, the Production Operator independently operates production equipment in various areas of manufacturing, and is able to fill in for other positions in the plant.  

Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Read, understand, and follow batch tickets.
• Combine ingredients in designated sequence.
• Provide samples to lab.
• Pack product into designated containers.
• Report near miss incidents and improvement opportunities.
• Waste disposal and equipment and plant cleaning.
• Operate forklift
• Label containers.
• SAP inventory look-up.
• Gather and weigh ingredients.  (Scale operation)
• Operate and trouble shoot mixing and dust collector equipment.
• SAP CORK duties.
• Preliminary quality checks.

• Maintain a clean work area and work safely.
• Participate actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, training sessions and assist w/training others.

• Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performance of position duties.

Education & Qualification:

• HS diploma or equivalent 
• Computer efficiency 
• Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of safety.
• Possess sound verbal and written communication skills.
