1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

As the Production Planner, you will work with Operations to strategically plan production based on best practices of maximizing run rates, campaign sizes, and other strategic initiatives to maximize production capacity. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Manage a weekly/daily production schedule in alignment with the master production schedule to ensure on time delivery, optimized inventory levels, and equipment utilization and efficiency
- Establishing, develop, and maintain the demand planning tools necessary in determining raw material, packaging, and finished good inventory levels
- Monitor and escalate raw material shortages or overages
- Work closely with manufacturing and planning to ensure work order schedules are updated and delivered on time
- Collaborate and initiate communications with customer service, production, warehouse, procurement, and logistics to align on forecast and order quantities to ensure a seamless flow of supply
- Identify, communicate and escalate variance from plans, anticipate potential issues, and communicate status to all relevant parties.
- Conduct studies to discover ways to reduce costs, improve processes and optimize output
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
- 1 year of experience in production planning or scheduling
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Access, etc.)
- Understanding of and experience with forecasting solutions, concepts and applications, as well as defining, modeling and applying demand planning processes and tools
- Experience handling and/or developing inventory and supply/demand models within the manufacturing or distribution industries
- Previous experience in Production Planning with 3-10 years' experience in manufacturing environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with SAP or equivalent MRP System
- Proficiency in planning/scheduling, SYSPRO desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
