About the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing our production schedules to ensure that goods are produced on time and meet quality standards. The Production Planner will work closely with various departments, including supply chain, inventory, and production teams, to enhance overall efficiency and throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacities.
- Adjust schedules in response to changing demands or supply chain disruptions.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure adequate materials are available for production.
- Analyze inventory data to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, sales, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on production priorities and timelines.
- Facilitate communication between departments to address any production-related issues.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze production metrics and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on production status, capacity utilization, and inventory turnover.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to optimize production processes and enhance efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices.
Compliance:
- Ensure that production processes align with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
