Description
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to oversee and manage work orders and inventory within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, be familiar with elements of workorder creation, planning parameters, scheduling, closing of work orders, and other maintenance. Assist Finance with inventory cycle counting and variance analysis. Experience with ERP systems and material and labor requirements planning. Sage X3 ERP system is preferred but not required. Strong Excel skills including V & X Lookup and Pivot Tables required.
Responsibilities:
+ Create, plan, schedule, and manage work orders to ensure timely and efficient production.
+ Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and resources needed for accurate work orders BOM’s, Planning Parameters and variance analysis.
+ Create, Maintain and update BOMs to reflect accurate production requirements.
+ Work in conjunction with Purchasing and Finance, monitor inventory levels via cycle-counting and variance analysis to ensure materials are available for production.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
+ Organize and manage new business processes and refining existing ones to support the company’s growth.
+ Generate and analyze reports on work order status, inventory levels, and production performance and present to leadership
+ Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet established standards.
+ Provide training and support to team members on work order management and related processes.
Requirements:
+ High School diploma or GED equivalent required
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in work order planning and inventory management within a manufacturing environment
+ Strong understanding of Workorder planning parameters including BOMs, MTO, MTS, Safety Stock, Planning Horizons, Days supply, Scrap, Yield and other key parameters needed for accurate labor and materials reporting and timely order processing
+ Strong Excel skills and proficiency in data analytics
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills
