What you will be doing:- Work with various global, corporate planning, and local manufacturing and warehousing to coordinate production scheduling activities to meet customer demands, inventory targets, and targeted service levels.
- Facilitate dialogue with corporate planning, customer service, operations, and warehousing to prepare an effective manufacturing schedule that supports customer requirements and inventory targets.
- Schedule purchase of raw materials and lead inventory management of raw materials.
- Work with the Production Manager to allocate resources for production - i.e. manpower, equipment, raw materials, etc.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders in Operations, Shipping, Logistics, and Customer Service in executing scheduling changes in accordance with customer demands and inventory targets.
- Manage safety stocks effectively including accounting for inventory transfers lead time and demand variability.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Track production performance and adherence to manufacturing schedule (i.e. trend actual versus planned production, yield, scrap loss, etc. on a weekly, monthly, YTD basis).
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting for end-of-month closing and year-end closing requirements (i.e. production and yield performance, inventory of raw and finished goods, etc.).
- Communicate schedule changes, maintenance requirements, shutdowns, and training needs that impact future production plans to corporate planning and logistics.
- Coordinate the production of new or initial production requirements for new products with production, quality, and technical services.
- Support efforts to improve plant efficiency, labor management, inventory management, and new initiatives by supporting scheduling requirements and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Create Manufacturing Orders (MOs) for various product SKUs.
Experience you will need:- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- 10 years of manufacturing, planning and/or scheduling experience.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Schedule: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm // 24-7 on-call role to manage decisions regarding unplanned downtime and rescheduling of plant production.
