About the Job
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Planner to support the coordination and execution of prototype development at one of their three prototyping centers
The role involves organizing key information necessary for prototype efforts, coordinating technical data into procurement, fabrication, and assembly requirements, and ensuring smooth project execution

Develop and maintain prototype plans based on forecast, inventory, safety stock levels, and project-specific needs while minimizing costs.
Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) from released drawings and requests.
Actively participate in decision-making during prototyping efforts and identify risks with management to mitigate potential issues.
Analyze Oracle reports/output recommendations and release factory orders to manufacturing and assembly areas.
Work with the Supply Chain to expedite material shortages and resolve procurement issues.
Participate in daily factory order status meetings to ensure on-time project delivery.
Collaborate with Build Project Leads and Prototype Integration Engineers to evaluate customer requirements and release materials for special projects.
Monitor and adjust build schedules, ensuring valid due dates and release of sufficient work to meet department targets.
Coordinate with Engineering, Program Managers, and other teams to meet deadlines, improve efficiency, and minimize operational impacts.
Identify trends, improvement opportunities, and develop corrective actions.
Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to all safety guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
Experience with material planning.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Familiarity with Oracle business systems and Bills of Material (BOM).
Strong communication, analytical, and mathematical skills.
Data analysis skills using Excel or equivalent software.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems effectively.
Preferred:
Experience with Windchill, ORACLE MRP or ERP systems.
Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Concepts.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline preferred
Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a Prototype/Production Control/Planning or Materials role in a prototyping or manufacturing environment.
