DFC Company (Dakota Fence, 3D Specialties, Sign Solutions USA, Dakota Playground, Park & Play USA, Town & Country Fence, and Dakota Unlimited) is a growing specialty contractor primarily involved in residential/commercial fence, highway guardrail, fabrication, and commercial playground construction as well as traffic control and pavement marking services. We provide services to homeowners, commercial businesses, and government entities. Days and Time: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Summary:
- Drive continuous improvement in various areas, including timely delivery, lead time, inventory, production transactions, and optimization of production routings and workflow processes.
- Confirm or gather all required information from the retail sales & construction teams for their manufacturing orders.
- Work with the Manager - Manufacturing & Logistics, Assistant Manager – Production Planning & Logistics, and sign shop supervisors to identify areas of need within the sign shop for continuous growth and improvement.
- Distribute daily reports on shipped orders, completions, and estimated completion dates for orders in the queue.
- Scheduling fabrication orders by work center and/or person using skills matrix.
- Maintains alternate routings to bypass overloaded or out-of-service equipment.
- Revises production schedule to accommodate expedited orders.
- Determine and fill required stocking levels that enhance our ability to meet short-lead time requirements, while optimizing longer order runs that reduce our cost.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum of three (3) years of directly related planning/scheduling experience or equivalent education. Excellent Microsoft Excel and MRP skills are required. Experience with construction ERP systems, including Vista is a plus.
