Position Objective:
Incumbent's primary focus will be on production scheduling, weekly capacity planning, and updating the schedule into our ERP system. The incumbent will play a crucial role in optimizing production efficiency, meeting deadlines, and maintaining smooth operational flow.
Position is onsite in Lewisville, NC M-F 8 - 5pm
Position Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules and targets.
- Evaluate current inventory levels of assembled goods to maximize stock efficiencies and determine production needs.
- Monitor and ensure production schedules and deadlines are met.
- Adjust or correct the production schedules as necessary to correct for any delays or issues.
- Enter production scheduled dates in the ERP system to maintain accurate data.
- Track inbound container shipments and update scheduled dates in the ERP system. Report any issues to the Director.
- Review and identify issues in the production process, help resolve, and suggest enhancements.
- Provide weekly KPIs to the Director to monitor the processes in place.
- Assist the Director with various projects or other duties as needed to support departmental objectives.
Position Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in production planning and scheduling, or in a similar production role preferred with demonstrated knowledge of the production cycle process.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred with the ability to learn WMS and Korber. PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
- Proficient in using MS Office including Excel (e.g., creating spreadsheets, using formulas) and Google Docs.
- Must be meticulous with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Must have math aptitude and be proficient in performing basic math calculations
- Ability to understand Bill of Materials (BOMs), queries and interpret data.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate well with others.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and manage deadlines and work under pressures.
- Demonstrated initiative and strong leadership abilities.
