Compensation: $85000-96000/ year
As a Production Planner/ Plant Scheduler, you will plan production and work with procurement to ensure that we have the proper raw material and inputs to produce products to meet our customers’ demands. You will help us utilize the MRP module within our ERP system, E21. This critical position will work with sales and marketing to create forecasts and minimum stocking levels. You will also be tasked with managing inventory to the targeted levels at our North Brunswick location, as well as other facilities. This will require constant communication with all department heads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Create rolling production schedule (liquid production and filling production schedules).
· Plan supply of trade and raw materials.
· Working directly with production managers, procurement team and customer service reps to ensure the schedule is being populated in a manner to meet plant and customer requirements.
· Work with procurement, sales and leadership to set minimum and maximum stocking levels of finished goods and raw materials.
· Ensure sufficient inventory for business functions without overcapitalizing on stock that isn’t generating income.
· Manage the MRP process within E21.
· Manage inventory levels in North Brunswick and any distribution points to ensure fast deliveries to our important customers.
· Forecast future inventory requirements based on current and future business trends.
· Create inventory reports and present suggestions.
· Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.

Qualifications
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with peers, vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
· Experience running or participating in an S&OP process.
· Knowledge of MRP functionality with an ERP system. Experience with E21 a plus
Able to work Overtime on occasion.
Education and Experience:
· Batchelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related field preferred
· Three years of experience in a Supply Chain Field
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to stand and walk
· Must be able to wear safety equipment
· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
· Must be available to travel to Vendor Sites/US facilities
· Manufacturing setting with various chemicals on site
· Able to communicate and comprehend received communication
