Production Shift Lead - ECOLAB

This role is responsible for working with departmental leaders to develop and implement actions to meet plant goals and deliverables. This position will coordinate processes, equipment and people to maintain continuous flow of product and services.

What You Will Do:

• Plan, initiate, and assist with training of operators. Assist in cross-training workforce on standard procedures.
• Provide direction and issues work assignments for other team members
•  Identify safety hazards through safety audits and initiatives. Recommends corrective actions 
• Ensure team is meeting all safety, productivity, and quality goals
• Ensure constant communication with management on daily activities and challenges
• Ensure all personnel on the shift are performing required transactions completely and accurately
• Troubleshoot process problems and develops improvements 
• Assume responsibility for shift in supervisor’s absence 
• Ensure all documentation is complete
• Assist in preventative maintenance and repairs of system operations 
• Assist in manufacturing schedule optimization and updates for shift change 
• Lead and actively participates in Kaizens, 5S, TPM, and special projects 
• Ensure completion and integrity of all documentation 
• Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

• Plant location: Greensboro, NC Plant
• Work week and shift: 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 10p-6:30a
• Compensation package offered: DOE

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 years of Ecolab plant experience or previous plant experience in a related field
• No immigration sponsorship offered for this role  

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

• TPM knowledge and experience
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma systems 
• Basic computer knowledge 
• Professional experience coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous forklift operating experience
