Production Shift Manager Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides management over 1st/2nd Shift team members assists with training and development; evaluates performance and provides direction for improvement of work skills; fosters a positive company attitude; monitors and documents team member warnings, absences, tardiness, paid time off.

• Facilitates the profitability of the Blending Mill by meeting or exceeding established production goals; coordinates the production of all blending functions; monitors the blending processes to ensure they are efficient and necessary; ensures the operation meets food-safety, food-quality, personnel safety, and facility security requirements.
• Ensures that facility GMP’s are strictly followed and coordinates timely execution of the facility master sanitation schedule.
• Makes operational input to the Plant Manager and produces production schedules for manufactured products to meet Company’s strategic plans and customer needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Plant Manager and assumes a shared responsibility in personal growth and development goals.
Production Shift Manager Qualifications and Requirements
• High School graduate is mandatory; a B.S. in Management or a related field is highly desirable. Related experience in Manufacturing or Business Management may be considered a substitute for degree requirements.

• A minimum of 1 year of supervision over the production of food products.
• An Understanding of computer-controlled machinery is highly desirable, as well as inventory control, project scheduling.
• Computer literacy with in-depth knowledge of MRP programs is required.
• Strong people skills: must be able to lead, delegate, instruct, coordinate, and correct. Well-developed oral and written communication skills; good organization and planning skills are required.
• Scheduling and daily planning processes indicate a sound understanding of efficient operation of the mill, production and facility capabilities. Production schedules are met as planned.
• Proper unexpired documents required to complete the Federal I-9 process.
• Background and Drug Testing is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
