We are recruiting a Production Specialist in Pre-rolls to work across multiple categories to manufacture a line of products reflective of our brand standards. The Production Specialist works in support of the Production Manager to ensure a high level of success and optimal functionality throughout their area.
What you'll do
- Oversee the production of high quality pre-rolls within the post-harvest division
- Set the standard and provide leadership and direction to the team to ensure that production protocols and established processes/best practices are followed
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating to team members, managers, clients, co-workers, and employees in a respectful and professional manner
- Work closely with Production Management to determine priorities and processes for production crews
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in areas of responsibility
- Assist with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members
- Support labor planning, allocation and reporting when needed
- Assemble pre-rolls and other finished goods as directed
- Assist in quality control and final product management
- Help create and manage SOP's for processes
- Support the testing process by partnering with labs for product testing and maintaining compliant and accurate records as dictated by company policy
- Clean and maintains company equipment and tools as needed, including product molds, trimming tools, production equipment and other areas as needed
- Performadditional related tasks as requested by the company within the scope of the position
- Support any facilities issues as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory and counts as needed to support efficiency
- Ensure product is tracked compliantly and accurately in all areas of work
What we look for
- 2 years of experience in a cannabis production environment
- Deep expertise in pre-roll manufacturing
- Strong organizational, planning, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage a large volume of detail-oriented tasks across multiple locations and teams.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Motivation toward process improvement with an ability to be creative in streamlining process and flow of systems.
- Approachable, mindful, and positive.
- Familiarity with regulatory systems standard to the cannabis industry, and Microsoft software.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations required for working in the cannabis space.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Marijuana Handler's Permit prior to employment.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in retail and production environments that include concrete or other hard-surface floors and, in some instances, staircases.
- Ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
- Ability to maintain focus and memory in environments with distractions such as heavy foot traffic, background noise due to public conversations and the gathering of people, etc.
- Absent conditions that would prevent the occasional use of PPE such as safety glasses, masks, etc.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work at a computer for several contiguous hours.
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle for several hours continuously
