Position Overview::Lead and supervise production personnel, ensuring efficient and effective execution of all production activities and adherence to established schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Hours: 3:00pm - 12:00am
What you will do::- Develop, implement, and monitor production plans and processes, ensuring continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular production audits and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective and preventative actions as needed such as root cause analysis and failure investigations.
- Monitor and maintain production equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to preventative maintenance schedules.
- Oversee inventory management, including requisitioning materials, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste, including quarterly cycle counts completed in assigned areas.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, sales, and purchasing, to ensure smooth operations and seamless product flow.
- Identify and address production issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Manage cost center to FY plan budget.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and employee development.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all relevant regulatory requirements for medical devices.
- Participate in kaizen events and lean projects.
- Prepare and maintain accurate production reports and documentation.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a production supervisory role in a manufacturing or industrial setting required.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven track record in improving production efficiency and quality.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant production software.
Supervisory responsibilities
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of production workers, supervisors, and support staff.
- Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to achieve production goals and targets.
