Do you have at least 7 years of manufacturing supervision experience in a heavy manufacturing environment?
Are you bilingual in Spanish and English?
Are you a hands-on leader with the ability to have an impact without rocking the boat?
Our client, a family-owned, stable and growing manufacturer of motor cooling solutions, is hiring for their facility in Elk Grove, Illinois.
Hours 5:00am-2:30 or 3:30pm.
Some Saturdays 5am or 6am to about noon.
Compensation Range: $65K to $90K
Must be bilingual Spanish/English
The manufacturing Production Supervisor will provide leadership and mentoring to a team of 24 tenured, primarily Spanish-Speaking employees and 4 manufacturing leads.
Will have demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships with the team by spending 90% or more of their day on the manufacturing floor.
The qualified candidate will have good analytical skills and take a proactive approach to ensure that the manufacturing process remains smooth and efficient by organizing workflows and monitoring, mentoring, developing and training employees while maintaining the company's strong cultural commitment to employee safety and product quality.

- Organize, direct, train and assist the production staff to achieve proper workflow and meet schedule requirements
- Organize, monitor and prioritize tasks to meet production goals and predict and adjust for bottlenecks as required.
- Take ownership of challenges and issues, communicate and work with appropriate departments within the organization and demonstrate exceptional follow-through for resolution
- Lead, manage and hold production personnel accountable
- Evaluate processes of production operations to ensure optimum efficiency and make recommendations to increase efficiencies.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with HR and operations to define and develop training opportunities for the team.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing and onboarding of new hires
- Support HR Activities including hiring, employee performance, reviews, discipline terminations, etc.
- Maintain a safe work environment and proactively address all potential safety hazards
- Report facility and equipment issues in a timely manner

- HS Diploma and 7 or more years of supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment (not food manufacturing, not warehousing) with at least 4 years of experience supervising a minimum of 15 direct reports.
- Bilingual Spanish/English language skills.
- Reliable
