Production Supervisor – USDA Food Manufacturing

Our client is a GROWING international USDA manufacturer of high quality, specialty meat products. They are expanding and need to hire an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the production of a specific product in their new USDA plant
.
Company prefers LOCAL candidates with USDA/meat manufacturing experience
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the team members in order to achieve required production and quality standards in a safe, efficient, and effective manner; and to promote and maintain positive working relationships within the production team.
Responsibilities/Duties
Train, manage, and develop team members to meet KPI, safety, and quality requirements within the department/area.
Supervise deboning staff to ensure product quality and integrity, and ensure all finished product meets requirements.
Create and maintain an environment that is conducive to retaining associates. Consistently administers company policies and procedures.
Support and promote goals through effective and efficient planning, communication, coaching, training, and overall direction of the workforce.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
Prefer candidates with a minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience with a USDA food or meat processor/manufacturer.
USDA or Meat processing preferred.
Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or other ERP software.
Leadership - a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results.
Planning - an ability to think ahead and plan.
Management - the ability to organize multiple projects and complete on schedule.
Problem Solving- ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Associate development - ability to supervise and recognize training needs for the operation as well as the associates and the willingness to support those needs and develop associates.
Communication - ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and a commitment to excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Team Building- knowledge of and a commitment to Team performance, effective coaching and demonstrated skills of a strong team player.
Safety - ability, knowledge, and commitment to put safety of associates above everything else while achieving goals.
