Production Supervisor - Ajulia Executive Search

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversaw departmental operations to ensure production aligns with customer specifications, and LEAN manufacturing principles. Implement enhancements through Kaizen events as needed.
• Guarantee that all work meets established quality standards. Collaborate with the Material Review Board to address non-conforming materials and ensure root causes of quality issues are identified and resolved.
• Monitor budget adherence and provide regular updates to management on the department's budget status, raising any concerns as necessary.
• Assign tasks to production staff using balanced lines and ensure team members possess the necessary training, skills, and authorizations. Foster Lean training within the team and manage employee performance to optimize effectiveness.
• Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining equipment and adhering to Health, Safety, and Environment (H&S/E) policies and procedures. Proactively address H&S/E concerns and, when needed, lead investigations and enforce compliance.
• Offer guidance to employees regarding work expectations and requirements. Ensure adherence to company policies, including Plant Rules, Health & Safety regulations, Attendance, and Human Rights. Address any compliance or performance issues through the corrective action process.
• Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and address employee/labor relations matters as necessary.
• Maintain departmental standards for cleanliness and organization in line with "5 S" targets. Participate in additional projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of MCI's operations and undertake any other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the transportation, automotive, or bus industries.
• Experience in a unionized setting is advantageous.
• Strong commitment to safety and a proven ability to handle disciplinary matters constructively.
• A dedication to continuous learning demonstrated through a diverse educational background or a combination of relevant experience and hands-on learning, along with a desire for further education.
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Word/Excel).
